Terms and Conditions

In registering for the Farmsafe Virtual Conference 2020, delegates, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors agree to the following Public Health Association of Australia (PHAA) and Farmsafe Australia terms and conditions:

 

Privacy

 

Your contact details will be used for the purpose of conducting the conference and will be made available to other delegates; PHAA, Farmsafe Australia, event organisers, event partners; EventsAIR, the company that hosts the on-line registration facility and virtual platform; and parties associated with related events.

Photography and Recording

  

I irrevocably authorise and grant PHAA and Farmsafe Australia the right to:

 

  • record me (picture and voice) on photographs, film and/or video tape, for audio and visual production. (the Recording)

  • edit the Recording into a photo gallery / short film / webinar (which may include other recordings and material);

  • use my name and likeness, voice biographic or other information concerning me; and

  • screen or place online (including on social media) the Recording.

 

I hereby release PHAA and Farmsafe Australia from any infringement or violation of personal and / or property rights of any sort whatsoever based upon the use of the Recording.

I acknowledge that PHAA and Farmsafe Australia owns and shall own all rights, title and interest (including copyright) in the Recording.

 

I further acknowledge that PHAA and Farmsafe Australia is not obliged to use the Recording.

I warrant that I have full power to enter into this Release and that the terms of this Release do not in any way conflict with any existing commitment on my part.

I understand I will receive no monies for this Recording.

While under no obligation to do so, the PHAA and Farmsafe Australia will consider any reasonable request not to use or to stop using a particular Recording. Such requests should be made in writing to nrutter@phaa.net.au 

Should you not wish to grant PHAA and Farmsafe Australia these rights, please contact nrutter@phaa.net.au prior to Sunday 20 September 2020.

Fees and Payments

 

Payment to attend the Farmsafe Virtual Conference 2020 must be made in accordance with the following conditions unless otherwise agreed with the PHAA.

Whichever comes first:

 

  • Within 14 days of receiving the tax invoice;

  • Prior to Sunday 27 September 2020, if booking at the earlybird rate; or

  • 10 business days prior to the conference start date 

 

The organisers reserve right, without notification, to cancel outstanding accounts any time after 14 days from date of tax invoice being sent.

All registrations received after Friday 23 October 2020 must be paid in full by credit card only, no tax invoices are able to be issued for payment.

If payment is not received prior to the virtual Conference, access will be granted only after full payment is made via credit card only.

 

Access

 

PHAA and Farmsafe Australia will not be held liable, nor will a refund be optional if delegates, sponsors, speakers or exhibitors are unable to access, connect or have difficulty with internet connection, sound or visuals when participating in the virtual Australian Public Health Conference 2020. PHAA and Farmsafe Australia will endeavour to provide information on how to access the Farmsafe Virtual Conference 2020, however delegates acknowledge that PHAA and Farmsafe Australia is not responsible for their IT connection or any issues caused by settings on devices used to access the Farmsafe Virtual Conference 2020, and delegates will endeavour to solve these issues with advice from their organisations IT support/suppliers of the devices they are using, and further acknowledge that PHAA and Farmsafe Australia is not required to provide IT support services in association with the virtual Conference.

 

Force Majeure

 

Neither party shall be liable in damages or have the right to terminate this Agreement for any delay or default in performing hereunder if such delay or default is caused by conditions beyond its control including, but not limited to Acts of God, Government restrictions (including the denial or cancellation of any export or other necessary license), wars, insurrections and/or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the party whose performance is affected. 

Indemnity

 

Should, for any reason outside the control of PHAA and Farmsafe Australia, the speakers change or the event be cancelled, PHAA and Farmsafe Australia will endeavour to reschedule where possible. In this instance the delegate will indemnify and hold PHAA and Farmsafe Australia harmless from and against any and all costs, damages and expenses. PHAA does not accept responsibility for, and the presenters and authors indemnifies PHAA and Farmsafe Australia against, any costs or charges incurred by the presenters and authors in the process of participating in the Farmsafe Virtual Conference 2020. This agreement is subject to the laws of the Australian Capital Territory and agreement to these terms and conditions indicates acceptance of this indemnity.

Cancellations

 

All cancellations must be notified to Nicole Rutter, Events & Capacity Building Manager,  PHAA in writing by emailing nrutter@phaa.net.au before the cancellation can be processed.

 

Cancellations will not be deemed to be received until you have written confirmation from PHAA. If the cancellation is not received in writing, the registration will not be cancelled and full registration will still be payable.

 

Cancellations received in writing by PHAA on or before Sunday 27 September 2020 will incur a $50 administration fee.

 

Cancellations received after Sunday 27 September 2020 are subject to 100% cancellation fee and will not be refunded. Please note; non-payment does not constitute as a cancellation. No tentative bookings will be accepted.

Please note: No refunds will be given after Sunday 27 September 2020, however substitutes are welcome. PHAA must be advised of substitutes by Friday 23 October 2020. No shared registrations will be accepted.

PHAA and Farmsafe Australia reserves the right to refuse access to any delegate/s that have not paid in full for their registration fees.

 

Disclaimer

 

At the time of registration, PHAA and Farmsafe Australia provided the most recent information available and the delegate and/or speaker accept that the content and/or the delivery of the virtual Australian Public Health Conference 2020 can change beyond the control of PHAA and Farmsafe Australia. PHAA and Farmsafe Australia will not take any responsibility for any errors, omissions and changes to the program or content of the Farmsafe Virtual Conference 2020. The PHAA and Farmsafe Australia reserves the right to make changes as it deems necessary without penalty and in such situations no refunds, part refunds or alternative offers shall be made.

Should, for any reason outside the control of PHAA and Farmsafe Australia, the speakers change or the event be cancelled, PHAA and Farmsafe Australia will endeavour to reschedule. In this instance the delegate will indemnify and hold PHAA harmless from and against any and all costs, damages and expenses. PHAA and Farmsafe Australia do not accept responsibility for, and the delegate indemnifies PHAA and Farmsafe Australia against, any costs or charges incurred by the delegate in the process of participating in the Farmsafe Virtual Conference 2020. This agreement is subject to the laws of the Australian Capital Territory and agreement to these terms and conditions indicates acceptance of this indemnity.

Subject to any amendments specified in subsequent event order forms or terms and conditions, the Farmsafe Virtual Conference 2020 order form and these terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersede all prior discussions, negotiations and agreements in relation to the Farmsafe Virtual Conference 2020.
